📸 Marching Band Parent Photo Guidelines

Help us capture the best moments—respectfully and responsibly!

We love when parents contribute their amazing photos to our SmugMug gallery! To keep our collection uplifting, respectful, and representative of the best our students and staff have to offer, please follow these simple guidelines:

✅ What to Capture

·     Performances: Full ensemble shots, close-ups of musicians, guard, drum majors, or soloists during shows.

·     Rehearsals: Action shots that highlight effort, teamwork, and dedication.

·     Game Day/Competition Moments: Fun, candid group shots, warm-ups, pre-show hype, post-show celebrations.

·     Travel & Team Spirit: Group photos on the bus, team huddles, or spirited moments in uniform.

·     Props & Crew: Showcase the behind-the-scenes magic—logistics and prop builders in action!

❌ What to Avoid

·     No Embarrassing Moments: Please don’t take or upload photos of students who are:

o  Sick, injured, or visibly distressed (e.g., puking, crying, or passed out)

o  Changing clothes or in partial uniform

o  Sleeping in unflattering positions

·     No Disrespectful Shots: Avoid images that show students not following expectations (e.g., on phones during rehearsal, sitting during performance warm-ups).

   General Etiquette

·     Be Discreet: Don’t interrupt or distract students or staff during performances or instruction.

·     Respect Copyright: Don’t upload professional photos taken by vendors unless you have permission.

·     Private Moments Stay Private: If you capture a beautiful photo but you’re unsure if it’s okay to share—ask! Better safe than sorry.

📄 Upload Instructions

·     Use the SmugMug upload link posted to Facebook for each event

·     Upload only high-quality, clear photos.

·     Try to avoid duplicates and blurry shots.
